After starting her racing career at the age of 14 in the local karting scene in South Florida, Mishael Abbott quickly rose in the kart racing world to become the first female to win a feature race in SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) - the world’s premiere shifter-kart series.   Mishael participated in the Skip Barber Formula Dodge series and USAC Midget series before purchasing her own Formula Mazda.  She began racing Formula Mazdas in 2002 driving professionally in the Star Mazda Series along with Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) races.  She won races in the Star Mazda EAST Championship and at SCCA Regional and National events.  In 2004 she competed in her first Sports Car Club of America National Championship Runoffs at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, OH.

For 2005, Mishael faces her biggest challenge yet in the Menards Infiniti Pro Series™, the ladder series for racing's premier open wheel series - the IndyCar® Series.  Mishael's schedule will be quite full this year.  In addition to her coursework toward a degree in Elementary Education, she will race her Formula Mazda in the Star Mazda Series EAST Championship, and at select SCCA events

Mishael has signed to race an Infiniti-powered Dallara for Hemelgarn Johnson Motorsports in at least five races in the Menards Infiniti Pro Series™.  The Menards Infiniti Pro Series races on the same tracks during the same weekends as the Indy Racing League's IndyCar® Series.  They will also provide a support race for Formula One during the United States Grand Prix weekend in Indianapolis.

She will race her Formula Mazda on road courses in the Star Mazda Series EAST Championship and SCCA eventsStar Mazda EAST Championship Series will bring her to top road tracks on the east coast including; Sebring International Raceway, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and Road America.  Mishael will visit Road America for the 2005 June Sprints® and back at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the SCCA National Championship Runoffs®.

Mishael is working hard on obtaining sponsorship support to the full 2005 season.  Competing in the entire season will bring the experience needed to move up to the IndyCar Series and realization of her ultimate goal -  being the first female to challenge and WIN the Indianapolis 500.
