I have to admit that with my first born, I didn’t really make homemade baby foodIjust gave her store bought ones most of the time. Well, you live and you learn and so with my twins I took it upon myself to really make it a habit to cook and feed them homemade baby food every time that I could. I was a stay at home mom at this point and so I had the time. I also enjoyed watching my kids enjoy eating their food and making a mess (yeah right!) but you get it.

Stocking up on store bought baby food is a good idea because for days that you don’t feel like making baby food fromscratch. Store bought baby food is still good and taste good too. My kids enjoyed both so it was great for me to alternate between the two. Making baby food at home can take time and work, but some recipes are super easy to make.

Sweet potato + Pear + Red pepper

Potato + Carrots + Asparagus

This recipe was one of my favorite to make for my twins, they simply enjoyed it so much. This is loaded with vegetables and nutrients that your baby needs to stay healthy and happy. Super quick to make, all you have to do is boil the ingredients together, add a pinch of salt just to season it and then blend in a blender. This delicious baby food recipe only has two ingredients the chicken breasts and sweet potato, all you do is cook both ingredients for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked. It has vegetables and fruits, which is a great balance and it’s so easy to make. Simply place all of the ingredients in a pot with water, cook until tender and then transfer it into a blender. Another great stage 2 baby food recipe. Super hearty and perfect for lunch or dinner. It is loaded with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants and it will sure make your baby happy. Even though it has lentils, you can transform the flavor by adding the sweet potato and apples. You can make this with low sodium chicken or vegetable stock or just simply use water.
