Love Hearts were the original way of sending your best friends emojis, and are now a popular sweet seen at weddings, but are the iconic sweets vegan? We break it down here.
What are Love Hearts?
Love Hearts are sweets made by confectionary giant Swizzels. They consist of small tablet sherbert-like candies that have emoticons or phrases on them. Some classic phrases, if you want to go down memory lane, include ‘Be Mine’, ‘Stay Cool’ and ‘Be Happy’. They come in a range of fruit flavours in each pack.
They are usually to be found in Swizzels multipack bags of sweets and wholesale items. They have recently seen a resurgence in popularity amongst adults as Love Hearts can be personalised, meaning people buy personalised packs for weddings.
Are they vegan?
Love hearts are indeed vegan, as they contain no animal products. They can be found in major supermarkets and corner stores near you.
