Auraglow Teeth Whitening Kit - 2024 Review (2024)

Is Auraglow Right For You?

If you’re looking for an affordable way to whiten your teeth, the Auraglow Kit is worth a look. It’s easy on the wallet and comes with a generous warranty and refund policy. Plus, it offers good results for many people.

Being budget-friendly does come with a few compromises, like a glitchy mouthpiece. If you’re willing to sacrifice this small inconvenience for cheap but effective results, Auraglow might be a good fit.

With so many teeth whitening kits on the market, choosing one can be an overwhelming experience. That’s why we test them at NewMouth—so we can find you options that best suit your lifestyle.

Pros & Cons of Auraglow Whitening Kit

I tested Auraglow’s Teeth Whitening Kit and reviewed customer feedback on YouTube, Amazon, and Trustpilot. Here’s an overview of its pros and cons based on my experience and what others are saying:

What I Like About Auraglow

After only three days, my wife told me my teeth looked so much better! I hadn’t told her I was trying to whiten them just to see if and when the results would be noticeable to others. Highly recommended!

Amazon Review
  • Effectively whitens teeth. I was a bit skeptical at first, but this kit brightened my teeth noticeably after just a few treatments.
  • Fast results. Some people saw instantly whiter teeth after their first use. But keep in mind that results may vary depending on your teeth.
  • Great value. In addition to its affordable cost, Auraglow has a refund policy and a warranty for defective products and unsatisfied customers.
  • Gentle on sensitive teeth. I was worried about pain since my teeth can be sensitive, but this kit was surprisingly gentle.
  • Easy to figure out. It’s not one of those products with confusing steps. The mouthpiece was comfortable enough, and the whole process was simple.
  • Decent taste and easy to apply. The gel doesn’t have a weird aftertaste, and the syringe makes it easy to apply the right amount without a mess.
  • Handy timer. I liked that the device has a built-in timer and a little sound at the end. It lets you relax and not worry about keeping track of the time.

What I Don’t Like About Auraglow

The only thing I don’t like is the on/off button is very sensitive. When washing the mouthpiece, the light goes off and on with just water running over it.

Amazon Review
  • Charger and battery problems. Customers often complained about the charger not working well and the battery dying too quickly.
  • Mouthpiece doesn’t fit everyone. Mine fit perfectly but some users had to figure out how to position it inside their mouth to ensure full coverage.
  • Issues with the gel. It causes irritation and sensitivity in some people. The gel can also leak if you place too much in the mouth tray.
  • Occasional glitches. There were a few times when the light went out before it was supposed to, or the button was too sensitive.

Inside Auraglow’s Whitening Kit & Ingredients

The Auraglow Teeth Whitening Kit costs $48. When my order arrived, it came with the following:

  • Auraglow LED Whitening Light (mouthpiece)
  • Two (2) Auraglow 35% Teeth Whitening Gel Syringes
  • Charging case and cable for the mouthpiece
  • Instruction manual

The whitening gel included in the kit contains 35% carbamide peroxide. It’s a common teeth whitening agent used in professional treatments.1,2

Auraglow uses only dental-grade whitening ingredients made in the USA. This locally manufactured product is a better alternative to kits that potentially come from China and have less quality control.1

My Experience Using Auraglow Teeth Whitening

I tried the Auraglow kit for a few days. Below, I’ll talk about my experiences with the brand, including:

  • Before and after results
  • Sensitivity and other side effects
  • Comfort and ease of use
  • Value for money
  • Maintaining my results

Before & After Results

I started with yellowish teeth and noticed they were brighter after the first treatment. By day 4 my teeth were already several shades lighter.

You can check my before and after photos below to see the changes:

I was thrilled with my results but wasn’t surprised that it worked so well.

Auraglow contains a higher concentration of carbamide peroxide than most at-home teeth whiteners and produces more significant whitening.3

The brand recommends using their kit for 7 to 14 days. But you can also use it for longer until you achieve the desired effects.1

Sensitivity & Other Side Effects

Thankfully, I didn’t experience any sensitivity while using Auraglow, even though I used it for 4 days straight. Again, this wasn’t a shock to me.

The whitening gel has safe levels of carbamide peroxide equivalent to 12% hydrogen peroxide, reducing the risk for sensitive teeth.1,3,4,5

It may still cause sensitivity in some people. But it’s a temporary side effect that goes away within hours or days after the last treatment.6

To prevent sensitivity: Auraglow recommends whitening for shorter periods (less than 30 minutes). If you develop sensitive teeth during the treatment, wait for 24 hours or longer before you use the kit.6

Comfort & Ease of Use

I thought Auraglow had a simpler treatment process than most at-home teeth whitening kits we’ve tried at NewMouth. Here are my reasons:

  • Its whitening gel comes in a syringe, which is easier to use than a whitening pen or a vial. All you have to do is push the plunger to squeeze it out.
  • The gel is placed inside the LED mouthpiece instead of being directly applied to your teeth. It’s faster this way (only takes a minute).
  • It has a wireless mouthpiece that won’t get in the way if you want to multitask. Other brands had wires that needed to be plugged in.
  • The mouthpiece has a built-in timer that reminds you when your treatment is over. It’s more convenient than setting an alarm on your phone.
  • The charging case included with your kit doubles as a travel case for the LED mouthpiece, similar to Apple EarPods.

The gel tastes alright—not good but also not bad. The mouthpiece is comfortable but it does feel bulky in my mouth. There was no shade guide, so I had to take pictures of my teeth daily so I could track my progress.

Fitting Auraglow into your routine: Each treatment lasts 30 minutes. I would usually do it at night before bedtime. But you can also whiten your teeth after breakfast. Remember to wait at least 1 hour before you eat again.6

Value for Money

Auraglow offers great value for your money. The kit has 20 treatments priced at $2.40 each. This includes the mouthpiece and other accessories.

It’s covered by a 60-day refund policy and a 2-year warranty for manufacturing defects—adding even more value to your purchase.

Refills are more affordable and cost $1 per treatment. You can choose from 16%, 22%, 35%, and 44% carbamide peroxide concentrations.

Maintaining My Results

Auraglow says your results can last for 1 to 3 months if you practice good dental hygiene and avoid foods and drinks that cause teeth stains.6

I needed touchups every month, probably because I drink more coffee than the average person. You’ll have to figure out which schedule works best for you since we have different teeth and eating habits.

What Customers Say About Auraglow Whitening

Auraglow is a highly-rated teeth whitening kit. It received 4.1⭐ from over 43,000+ customers on Amazon and 4.7⭐ from users on Trustpilot.

Auraglow Pros

I’ve used it the last two nights and I have tried whitening kits in the past that… irritate my teeth, irritate my gums after just a couple days. And like I said, I’ve been using this for the last two nights and don’t notice any sensitivity and I feel like it’s actually working on my teeth. So win-win.

YouTube Review

Based on reviews, the Auraglow Whitening Kit delivers noticeable whitening results, sometimes even after the first use. It’s generally easy to use, causes minimal sensitivity, and has a pleasant-tasting gel.

Features like the convenient gel applicator, self-timer, and tune at the end of your treatment provide added convenience. If you encounter problems with your order, the company has responsive customer service.

Auraglow Cons

The mouth tray I could not use, it was very uncomfortable. My biggest problem was that two of these kits arrived by accident and I decided to keep one for my husband. Well, we opened both of them to use the product and neither one of the blue lights worked at all.

Amazon Review

The kit has several drawbacks. Common complaints include a finicky charging system, short battery life, and potential for gum sensitivity.

Its mouthpiece may not fit everyone perfectly, causing discomfort and uneven whitening in a few people.

Some Auraglow customers have also experienced technical glitches with its on/off button and LED light, or they received faulty devices out-of-the-box.

Where to Buy Auraglow Teeth Whitening Kit

You can buy the Auraglow’s Teeth Whitening Kit online for these prices:

For the best prices: I suggest purchasing from Auraglow’s website. The company sometimes offers promo codes and discounts.

Final Thoughts on Auraglow Whitening

Auraglow Teeth Whitening Kit - 2024 Review (9)

Overall, Auraglow delivers on its promises of effective whitening and ease of use. If you value good results and a simple treatment, it’s worth a try.

But if you don’t want to risk spending on a glitchy device, there are other at-home teeth whitening kits on the market:

  • For sensitive teeth: GLO Brilliant Advanced has a gentle enamel-safe formula and a reliable mouthpiece with a built-in timer.
  • For fast teeth whitening: Snow is a decent alternative. It can whiten teeth within days, although it causes sensitivity in some people.
