A nourish bowl isa well-balanced, healthy meal containing a variety of nutrient dense ingredients, including vegetables, grains, healthy fats, quality proteins and carbohydrates.
They are also known as buddha bowls, macro bowls, bliss bowls, power bowls, poke bowls, wellness bowls etc. but the concept remains the same; an extremely versatile meal-in-a-bowl.
Generally served in a single bowl, they consist of small portions of several foods and are usually served cold.
While there are no strict rules with nourish bowls, your tuckshop capacity and student group will play a part in how you build your nourish bowls. The beauty of this menu item is that all the prep can be done in advance, and you can assemble to order ahead of service.
Here’s our useful guide on what to include in your tuckshop nourish bowl.
