Born to Bourne Supremacy‘s Brian Cox, 58, and wife Nicole, 34, son Torin Kamran Charles, Oct. 26. The couple has a 2-year-old son, Orson. Cox has two adult children from his first marriage.

DEPARTURES

Paramount Pictures’ Motion Picture Group chairman Sherry Lansing, 60, announced Nov. 2 that she will step down when her contract expires at the end of 2005. Lansing became the first female chairman of a major studio when she joined Paramount in 1992 and saw success with films such as Titanic, Braveheart, and Forrest Gump. In a statement, she said, ”I move on with great memories, many friendships, and few regrets. But it’s time for new challenges.” No word on her plans for the future.

HIRED

Yahoo! announced Nov. 2 that former ABC Entertainment chairman Lloyd Braun, 46, will be the new head of their media and entertainment division starting Nov. 15. Despite his championing of soon-to-be hits like Lost and Desperate Housewives, Braun was ousted by ABC parent company Disney in April. In a statement, Braun said he looks ”forward to helping Yahoo! maintain its position as the leader in providing compelling and unique content on the Web.”

KEY PARTY

Benjamin McKenzie and the O.C. cast and crew were given the key to the city of Newport Beach, Calif., Oct. 28. And the key to his alter ego’s humbler hometown? ”I don’t think that’s gonna happen. Chino’s kinda mad at us.”

COURTS

Fox standard-bearer Bill O’Reilly, 55, and former O’Reilly Factor associate producer Andrea Mackris, 33, settled their respective lawsuits out of court. O’Reilly sued Mackris Oct. 13 for extortion, shortly before Mackris filed a sexual harassment suit against him. The details of the settlement are being kept confidential, but on his Oct. 28 broadcast, O’Reilly said, ”This brutal ordeal is now officially over, and I will never speak of it again.” Lawyers from both sides could not be reached for comment…. Rip Torn (néElmore Torn), 73, was acquitted of DUI charges, Oct. 28 in NYC. The Larry Sanders Show actor was arrested after a January fender bender with a taxicab. Reps for Torn said, ”We were really gratified that justice prevailed.”… David Hasselhoff, 52, pleaded no contest to a charge of driving under the influence, Oct. 28 in L.A. in connection with a June arrest. The former Baywatch actor has been ordered to attend AA meetings, serve 200 hours of community service, and pay a $390 fine. Reps for Hasselhoff had no comment…. Actor Kiefer Sutherland, 37, was arrested for DUI Oct. 29 in L.A. According to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, he pleaded no contest at an arraignment Nov. 2. The 24 star was sentenced to 60 months probation, 50 hours of community service, and must pay a $510 fine.

RECOVERING

According to PEOPLE magazine, Julia Roberts, 37, who is expecting twins in early January, was reportedly hospitalized Oct. 23 after experiencing early contractions, and doctors have recommended bed rest until her due date. Her publicist said, ”We don’t comment on our clients.”… Guess she’s a Sox fan: First Lady of California and former NBC newswoman Maria Shriver, 49, broke her foot during Game 5 of the Red Sox — Yankees series, Oct. 18. David Ortiz’s 14th-inning game-winning single caused Shriver to leap off the sofa and land on one of her son’s shoes (she and husband Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger have four children). Doctors say it could take up to three months to heal.
