**No lifeguards on duty as of September 5, 2023**

Narragansett Town Beach is a classic New England Saltwater Coastal Beach front that offers some of the best, cleanest and accessible beach conditions for the residents and visitors in New England with attendance up to 5,000 patrons per day. Located in the center of town, the beach offers ample parking in the North, South, West and Cabana parking areas along with food, restrooms, first-aid office, surfing area and a beautiful sandy beachfront. The total beach acreage is approximately 19 acres.

Sales Office

The sales office will be open for in-person sales starting Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm seven days a week, through Labor Day. The office now accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for seasonal beach and parking passes.

2024 Beach Facility lessee paperwork will be mailed January 26th, 2024 for Cabana, North Pavilion Changing Rooms, and South Pavilion Lockers with payment due with completed paper work no later than March 1st, 2024.

Hours & Days of Operation for the Beach

The Town Beach opens Memorial Day weekend beginning Saturday May 25th thru Monday May 27th, 2024. The Town Beach will be closed from Tuesday, May 28th thru Friday, May 31st (no staff or Lifeguards will be on duty as staff is still in school).

The beach will open full-time and charging 7 days a week for the season on Saturday June 1st thru Monday September 2nd Labor Day.

The hours of operation are 8:30 AM through 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 7:30 AM through 5:00 PM Weekends and Holidays (lifeguards will be on duty until 6 PM), unless otherwise noted by beach management, due to weather or other conditions. Restrooms only will be available until 6:00 PM.

When the beach is closed there are no facilities available.

Port-o-johns will be in place in the North and South Lots April 1st through October 31st. The South Pavilion restrooms will be available beginning in May weather permitting.

Daily Admission

Daily admission is $12 per person per day and is not transferable. Daily Admission is available to resident/taxpayers and nonresidents (payment by Cash or Credit Card) Children 11 and under are free. ATM machines are available at both the South and North Pavilions.

Seasonal Passes

Financial Aid for Narragansett Residents Only

the narragansett Parks and REcreation Department (NPRD) offers assistance options to ensure that no one is turned away from Narragansett Town Beach due to financial limitations. Please contact the Director of Parks and Recreation for assistance.

Seasonal passes are in the form of a Photo ID or Transferable (no photo ID) pass.

Every person purchasing a beach pass is required to have their picture taken if not in the system. Seasonal beach passes are available to residents/taxpayers ONLY in person when the sales office reopens on May 4th. Seasonal photo ID beach passes are not transferable. Seasonal Parking Sticker Passes

Seasonal parking passes for the Town beach are available to Narragansett residents/taxpayers only. Please view our policy page for qualifications (seasonal passes are not available to nonresidents). Seasonal parking passes are $50 per sticker with a photo ID and vehicle registration required as well as confirmation of resident/taxpayer status as per the beach policies at the time of purchase. These passes will be available for purchase when the sales office opens in the South Pavilion on May 4, 2024. As a reminder, Seasonal parking passes are not transferable and vehicle MUST be present.

Parking

Daily parking at the Town Beach is available for residents and nonresidents. Nonresidents are required to park in the West Lot. the South Lot will also be open to non-residents at 1pm WEEKDAYS ONLY, based on conditions. Parking fees are $10.00 per vehicle Monday through Friday and $15.00 per vehicle on weekends and holidays (Cash and Credit Card accepted). Beach parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The West Lot, for nonresident parking, is located across the street from the South Pavilion which is located at 39 Boston Neck Rd.

1. South Lot, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays Open for resident/taxpayers only 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with valid seasonal parking pass.

2. South Lot Weekdays Open for resident/taxpayers only 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with valid seasonal parking pass. Open to nonresidents 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, based on conditions.

3. North Lot Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays Open for resident/taxpayers only 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with valid seasonal parking pass.

4. North Lot Weekdays Open for resident/taxpayers only 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with valid seasonal parking pass.

5. Cabana Lot Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays Open for Cabana lessees only 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with valid cabana hangtag.

6. Cabana Lot Weekdays Open for Cabana lessees only 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with valid Cabana Hangtag.

7. West Lot Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays $15.00 Open for nonresident-residents parking from 7:30 am to 5:00 for paid parking.

8. West Lot Weekdays $10.00 Open for nonresidents-residents 8:30 am to 5:00 for paid parking.

Reminder: The purchase of a seasonal parking pass does not guarantee a parking space on any given beach day.

ADA Surf Chairs

The Town Beach presently offers Seven (7) ADA surf chairs at no charge to our patrons on a first come first serve basis. Four chairs are located at the South Pavilion and three located at the North Pavilion. Patrons must present a driver's license or picture Id and cell phone number along with someone to assist the patron to and from the parking lot to the beach location. Patrons using chairs must have their own assistance getting in and out of chairs and must provide the beach staff the location on the beach where they will be located. Chairs will be sanitized by beach staff after each use.
