Eight years ago, on Oct. 21, 2010, Oak Lawn Patch launched. We've come a long way, and you're a big reason why. I am one of the longest serving editors of a single Patch. Since moving here I’ve come to know the many charms of a good old-fashioned parish carnival. I’ve always regarded Oak Lawn Patch as my baby and this community occupies a special place in my heart.
In August, Oak Lawn Patch recorded 145,920 visitors. For a village of 56,000 people, that's a lot of readers! Our visitors hail from Oak Lawn, for sure, but many residents of neighboring towns also land on Oak Lawn Patch from time to time, too. That figure — compiled and verified through Google Analytics — includes readers on desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile and our app, and our visitors often access Patch on several devices over the month.
