How to prepare for a tapas test? ›

To assess the non-cognitive temperament and motivational characteristics, or "will-do" attributes of applicants, ARI developed the TAPAS (see Table 2). The TAPAS is specifically designed to identify and measure those dimensions that are essential for Soldier performance but are not fully captured by the ASVAB.

Portion sizes will vary by restaurant, but typically, ordering 2 to 3 tapas per person gets the job done. So a party of 4 would order 8 to 12 tapas between them. Don't be afraid to ask your server if you haven't ordered enough food, and remember, your friends are there to help if you've ordered too much.

How to prepare for the test? There is no need to arrive for the test on an empty stomach. If the test is not a follow-up, but is performed for diagnostic purposes, it is not recommended to follow any special diets (e.g. gluten-free, lactalbumin-free) before the test.

Your results could come back wrong if you give in to temptation. Fasting means you don't eat or drink anything but water usually for 8 to 12 hours beforehand. If your appointment is at 8 a.m. and you're told to fast for 8 hours, only water is OK after midnight.
