Applications and Awarding for the 2024-2025 Academic Year
| July 1st, 2023 | Admissions Application and Special Programs & Scholarship Application available for the 2024-2025 academic year. Regional Campus Scholarship Application available online for the 2024-2025 academic year. |
| October 1st | The Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid Application is available for the 2024-2025 year to apply for state aid programs such as MTAG, MESG, and HELP Grant. |
| November | Academic Merit and other non-competitive entering freshmen and community college transfer scholarships are awarded and letters mailed to students for the 2024-2025 academic year. This awarding process continues through July. |
| December 30th, 2023 | The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened for 2024-2025. |
| January 10th, 2024 | Deadline for the Special Programs & Scholarship Application. |
| March | Health Professions Student Loan (HPSL) Application available for the 2024-2025 year (Only Pharmacy students are eligible for this loan) The Competitive Scholarships awarding process will begin. Awarding and re-awarding of scholarships will continue through August as additional funds become available. |
| March 1st | Original Priority date to submit the FAFSA to be considered for the Ole Miss Opportunity Scholarship. *Now extended to June 1st, 2024, for 2024-2025 due to federal delays with the FAFSA launch. OSHER RE-Entry Scholarship Application available online. Priority deadline to submit the Oxford Campus Community College Transfer Scholarship Application. |
| March 31st | Deadline to apply for the Mississippi HELP State Grant. (We strongly encourage applying for MTAG and MESG by this date as well – to be ahead of schedule! It’s the same application.) |
| April 1st | Deadline to submit the Community College Transfer Scholarship Application. Raise Me! Scholarship Deadline for 2024-2025 |
| May | New freshmen will be mailed a paper financial aid award letter that includes Federal, State, and Institutional Awards for the 2024-2025 year. | June 1st | Priority Date for the OSHER RE-Entry Scholarship Application. *Extended due date to submit the FAFSA to be considered for the Ole Miss Opportunity Scholarship for 2024-2025 due to federal delays with the FAFSA launch. |
| June 30th | Final date to complete the FAFSA for the 2023-2024 year. Priority date for the HPSL Application Deadline to apply for the OSHER RE-Entry Scholarship and deadline to submit the Regional Campus Scholarship Application. |
Disbursem*nt of aid for the term begins approximately five days before the first day of classes. Aid that is ready for release will be posted to the student’s bursar account and Email notifications will be sent to the student.
