I never needed a big Troy Built one since Charlie my famer friend prepared my garddening areas for me, just noting that Troy, NY was a short drive away from where I was raised, but when I moved back East from Denver in 1982 I did buy a Mantis tiller and used it as a hoe in the big field where I grew all my tomatoes, melons, squash, potatoes, broccoli, b sprouts, potatoes , peppers, and on and on. The rows were 250 ft long. All to say that that same tiller is out in the tool shed which is attached to my house here where I now live and is in excellent shape with new this and that since my brother was the major one who maintained it b'c he also used it. Pull rope to start it, no electric starter back then and had to mix gas and ? for fuel.Also had several attachments. But one learned to not use it for at least an hour after eating and using it in soil that had some small rocks. I remember paying about $125 for it back in 1983, I'm not selling it right now, but what do you think it is worth, Worth and others who know what I'm describing. Carolyn __________________ |
