03/4​Healthy Gajar ka halwa recipe

Ingredients required- 2 cup grated carrots, 1 tsp ghee, 1 cup low fat milk, 1/4 cup powdered jaggery and 1/4 tsp cardamom powder.

Method-

  • Add ghee in a pressure cooker, along with grated carrots. Saute for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.
  • Now add 3/4 cup milk, powdered jaggery and cardamom powder. Mix well and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
  • Once the steam has escaped, open the lid and switch on the gas once again.
  • Add 1/4 cup milk, mix well, cook for another 4-5 minutes and your low-fat halwa is ready.
  • We haven’t used sugar, mawa and condensed milk in this recipe, as all these three ingredients are not only fattening but are also loaded with calories.
