BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper is a little banged up after another driver rear-ended him Tuesday morning.
It happened as the trooper responded to help at a crash in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 past MO-7 Highway. The highway patrol said the crash happened around 10 a.m. as the extended morning rush hour ended.
The patrol shared pictures of the extensive damage to the trooper’s car.
The trooper will be OK, but the other driver did suffer more serious injuries according to the patrol.
Emergency crews across the metro worked dozens of crashes during the morning rush hour because of the wintry conditions and frigid temperatures.
